Transfer Admissions Guaranteed (TAG) is a guaranteed transfer route for selected majors at six University of California campuses (Davis, Irvine, Merced, Riverside, Santa Barbara and Santa Cruz) and almost all California State University campuses. As a key component of the California Master Plan for Higher Education, students attending Community colleges in California receive a preferred transfer authorization in the University of California (UC) and California State University (CSU) systems. Orange Coast College is the first Community College in Orange County and is in the top 3 of the overall ranking for transfers to UC and CSU. Our success is mainly due to our diversity of academic resources and support services, the availability of high-level university courses and transfer agreements. Due to the large number of applicants, we are unable to evaluate the course work of interested students in terms of portability at UCLA. Course-by-course evaluations are only conducted for authorized students who have informed us that they are planning to register. 2. Students are certified at the end of the honorary program or scholarship program at their Community College and are considered preferably for admission to the university. If you go to another UC campus or a California community college, most of your academic courses will likely be transferable. The Chancery determines the portability of course work for current UCLA students who attend other institutions in the summer. Both offices follow UC`s transfer credit practices. You can participate in a four-year summer session of an institution or university extension after becoming a UCLA student. Scores obtained during a regular summer session on another UC campus are calculated in your MPA; Scores obtained during a summer session with a non-UC institution are not calculated in your MPA. The university extension catalogues provide information on the portability of their programs. Check this information before you check in.

If you are visiting an institution outside of California, you can compare the catalogue descriptions of the courses you have taken with the course descriptions in general from the UCLA catalogue, although the search for a similar course does not guarantee that your credits will be transferred. The Transfer Alliance Program is a collaboration between the Honors/Scholars program at California Community Colleges and uCLA College in conjunction with Undergraduate Admission.
